About Dr. Sachin Jagtap
Born on April 19, 1972 in Kolhapur, Dr. Sachin Jagtap began his flute journey at the age of 25, guided by great Gurus like Pandit Harishchandra Kokre, Pandit Nityanand Haldipur, and Surmani Praveen Godkhindi.
Coming from a non-musical family, his passion, discipline and dedication led him to become one of the renowned flute players of Maharashtra.

Musical Excellence
Dr. Jagtap is the only and first student in India to receive the direct “Sangeet Alankar” degree and secure First Rank in All India in Classical Flute.
Academic Excellence
He holds multiple qualifications including M.C.A., M.B.A, M.Phil, Ph.D, C.I.N, D.I.M and F.D.P from reputed institutes including IIMK, IIMB, IIMI and IIT.
Musical Versatility
His musical journey extends beyond classical music, including light music and Bollywood film notation under renowned artists and teachers.
Alongside his musical achievements, Dr. Jagtap stood First in M.A. (Music) at Shivaji University and is a B. High grade artist of All India Radio.
His musical versatility extends beyond classical music. He studied light music under Padma Bhushan Srinivasa Khale and Padma Vibhushan Pyarelal Sharma, while learning Bollywood film notation from Shyamkant Paranjpe and Suzanne (Germany).
Music Beyond Performance
Pioneer in Music Therapy
As the first Music Therapist in Western Maharashtra, Dr. Jagtap has given free treatment to 462 patients, including 16 coma patients.
He continues this noble work while serving as an Assistant Professor, teaching MBA and M.Sc. courses in Information Systems for the past 23 years.
